Erin Saunders

Intake Intern

Erin Saunders is an incoming junior at Georgetown University, studying American Studies and Journalism. Within these disciplines, she focuses on the intersection between the media and mass incarceration. She previously worked as an intern at the Peter L. Zimroth Center, a program at NYU School of Law, where she researched the impact of local media on public perception of crime. At Georgetown, she was the Senior Features Editor of The Hoya, the university’s newspaper of record, and is a volunteer tutor at the Arlington County Jail. Since November 2024, she has worked as an intern at Making an Exoneree, reviewing cases for the 2025 and 2026 cohorts.
