Emilia Cipriano
Program Manager
Emilia Cipriano is a recent graduate of Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During her time at Georgetown, Emilia served as an undergraduate research assistant in two psychology labs– one focused on Alzheimer’s treatment and prevention, and the other on early social learning in children. As an education minor, she also worked as a student teacher in both Pre-K and first-grade classrooms, gaining hands-on experience in early childhood education. More recently, Emilia has worked at the Children’s Law Center, providing legal relief to families, and supported the MORCA-Georgetown Paralegal Program, expanding educational and career opportunities in the legal field for returning citizens. In Spring 2025, she participated in Georgetown’s Making an Exoneree course working on the case of Lucy Duncan, a transformative experience that deepened her commitment to criminal justice reform and the issue of wrongful convictions. She now serves as Program Manager of the Making an Exoneree Program, overseeing operations and supporting students across multiple universities as they reinvestigate wrongful conviction cases.
